Keep a private record of each submission

Use a simple, account-based journey to keep venue choices, deadlines and decisions together.

Record the submission you are managing

Start a submission journey when you are preparing a paper or after it has been sent. Record the venue and the stage that reflects the work you are doing. This records your process; it does not send a paper to a journal or conference.

Keep one record per submission so a resubmission or a different venue has its own history. That preserves the context for the next decision.

Use stages and dates as working prompts

A useful tracker shows what stage you last recorded and which deadline needs attention. For conferences, later milestones can include a rebuttal or camera-ready stage. For journals, revision and editorial decisions may be the next focus.

Record decisions when they happen and add only notes you would be comfortable keeping in your account. A concise history is often enough to support a co-author conversation or a resubmission plan.

Keep submission information private

Submission journeys are associated with your account. They are not displayed on this public guide or in public venue search results.

Do not use a public web page to share manuscript text, reviewer correspondence or confidential editorial material. Keep sensitive working information in the private tools you and your collaborators have chosen.
